I just picked up a used (but perfect) Musical Fidelity M1 HPA and DAC combo and I'm loving the sound coming from the Beyer T1s!

Very detailed but no harshness. Highs are clean and real. Deeeep bass but no bloat. Soundstage wide and deep. Happy.

No, I also have an Audio-GD C-2C (for sale now) and a vintage Pioneer receiver and a newer Pioneer Elite SC25 receiver. The Audio-GD is very close to the MF HPA, really hard to tell the difference except that the MF is maybe a little cleaner in the highs. Again, really hard to tell.

Oops. Will have to update my sig. When I had the K701's I thought that they could use an amp that wasn't so neutral, one that had more warmth, so the C-2C was not ideal for the K701 IMHO.  I got rid of the K701 before the Musical Fidelity combo arrived. I couldn't speculate on how they would have matched up with the K701s.
