Hello,
I recently purchased a Lusya SA9023A + ES9018K2M dac from Aliexpress. I read in a review somewhere that the reviewer was able to get it to work on their Samsung devices, so I decided to try it out.
I found that I could only get it to work with an Android device when i plugged it into a powered usb hub.
I tested this with a Galaxy S4, S8, Note 9 and a Droid Turbo 2. They all worked, but only through a powered hub.
I found, surprisingly, that it worked without external power on my old 2015 Amazon Fire 7.
Today, I found that if i connected the dac to a usb c hub dongle, like his one: Ugreen USB C hub Dongle, and connected the dongle to my phone, without external power, it works. I tested this with the S4, S8 and Note 9
I am just wondering, does anyone here have a clue as to why that would work but connection, via an OTG cable does not?
