After not satisfied with this combination being Bendix 6106, EL38 and 5A/152M against WA22 (2Gen) with TS5998, Mullard GZ34 and Amperex 6201. I decided to mix with Bendix 6106, C3G and 5A/152m, all small bottles.

It sounds like the shy has opened up, everything is so clear and dynamic. I can say this is the best sound I have heard so far, even the best EL 39. Treble, mid and especially bass hit even harder. It benefits having more than 1 amp, so you can dial in the sound that you wanted.

Did you get those adapters for 5a/152m from xulingmrs on eBay specifically made , I can’t find them?

Tidied up. I'm getting a bit more organised. Easier to find my tubes now. :relaxed: There are some that are not shown here.

Drivers and power tubes separated.

Yes, I got them from Mrs X. You need to email her on Ebay and request her to make them for you. She made 2 pairs for me, one for the 6J5 sockets and the other for the 6V6 sockets.

Very nice,
how is the sound of your RCA 6BQ7A?
I was thinking of trying them out too, I see you have 5 of them, enough for half a lifetime, hehe.
My drawer has actually filled up since the last order.

Just heard from Matt. He's sending 12J5 tubes and 2 pairs of coupling caps to Eric for his Super Black Ultimate. Duelund CAST Pure Copper/Silver foil and Vcap Cutf. :relaxed:

Also a bit of a crazy tube where you mentioned.
Valvo with red print are crazy prices in places.
Why?
Everything else is still reasonably priced.
Does the e80cc actually run on Ultimate?
Because the data sheet also states 12 volts.

Of course it does. Tonight, Susvara sound particularly good from Ultimate with Philips E80CC and EL38. I am rather surprised that the amp seem to sound even better after one year. I just love this amp's performance so much. A tone that moves you and connects with you.

Yes, I thought it was the same as yours.
I don't know why the other one was built like that without the O getter, but I had it in the Euforia at the time and didn't notice any difference in sound.
I will listen to the El38 soon.
I have switched to Ez80 Valvo, KT63 Gec and Linlai 6SN7.
The good Gec Kt 63 I got now makes a very good impression.
I like it so far, and I don't have the feeling that it needs to be played in.
It's a nice pair that fulfils many requirements.

That little Gec in the picture looks cute, reminds me a bit of the EL32.
It remains to be seen whether it works in the Ultimate or not.

It's not that little, actually. The KT8Cs I have here are nearly as tall as my EL38s and they are wider.

FWIW, I've used them in both the Aegis (DIY and ZMF production version) as well as the Cayin HA-6A in the EL34/KT66 bias position without issue.

.
I could not resist the temptation of EL3N tubes. Add 3 extra and call them Cardinal tubes. They sound so, so good to my ears.

There are Telefunken straight glass EL3N tubes out there but I haven’t heard them - always wondered how they sound.
It also seems to me that there also exists Telefunken EL3N ST type tubes.

The ones with adapters, I believe, were made by Tungsram. They both sound very similar. I am waiting for extra adapters to try the Sakuma style. I have not listened to both types of the Telefunken EL3N. They have become rare and expensive.
