Need some help locating a seller for the screws that hold down the drivers (4 each for total of 8). They are listed in the service manual as:
Ref No: 23
Part No: 7-685-232-19
Description: SCREW +KTP 2.6X5 TYPE2NON-SLIT

Exhausted google and auction sites but can't locate them. Anyone have any ideas where I might be able to get them? Alternatively if anyone knows the exact screw size I'd imagine I should be able to find generic replacements.

TIA!

I doubt seriously that Sony made their own screws.

Your part listing itself has the answer - 2.6 x 5. That's a Metric M2.6 thread at 5mm long. I'm assuming "non-slit" means they're Phillips flat-head screws, but looking at your headphone will give you the answer as to the exact type. McMaster-Carr is a great source for screw hardware, as is Fastener Express:

Thx! I figured those were the measurements but I'm unsure of the thread pitch (searches yield .35 and .45) and whether they were counter-sunk or not.

EDIT: Figured out they are countersunk as I removed an identical screw from a different location based on the service manual. I just need to figure out the pitch.

Flat-head already means counter-sunk.

0.45 is the only pitch you'll find for an M2.6 x 5 flat-head Phillips.

I ended up ordering these which are machine screws:

I'm no expert but I think the pitch would be finer and different than the self-tapping ones:

Worst case, I'll get the self-tapping if these don't work out.

Thx for your help!

Neither of those will work. I have two Sony V6 headphones that I just checked, now that I'm home. They are the same as the 7506 except for the color trim.

You may need to contact Sony. They are metric, Phillips flat head, blunt tip, self-tapping for plastic (not sheet metal or wood screws), M2.6 x 5. Pitch is pretty high because they're self-tapping - probably only 2-3 turns in that 5mm length. Even McMaster-Carr doesn't have them.

As an update, I ended up getting these: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/metal-flat-head-self-tapping-phillip-screw-m2-6x5-10pcs.html which cost all of 63 cents for a pack of 10. They're just a smidgen shorter than stock but fit perfectly. Prior to this, I had reached out to trewaudio who finally got back to me recently that they had stock but the cost was $2 per screw... Had these been for the joints, I would've splurged for the OEM but given it's for the drivers, I'm satisfied w/the ones I purchased. Just FYI in case anyone runs into the same issues.

Thx for your help too! Just posting pics of the differences between the screw and the wiring color to solder blobs in case anyone needs it:
