in what way? I mean, you can always update and refine, which seems to me what Garry is doing, but I thought that actually the MP's overall design is very interesting and well thought.
If that is what he meant I'd have to agree: the non standard cubic box of the previous one is kinda difficult to accomodate, but I doubt It is going to change. It is only a mk3 not a new model
garry said about the same price.
here's my question. I have the mk1, so if you have the stock mk1 with ak4490 chip and the stock mk3 with ak4490 chip playing the same song, is it worth the cost/trouble buying the new one and then trying to sale the old mk1.
Frankly I believe it's going to be worth it: some of the changes Garry hinted at,
directly improve sonic performance, like I2s , option of femto clock and improved voltage regulation. If It actually will be around the same price range I will consider It extremely seriously.
Does anyone have any experience with the ifi Audio Nano iGalvanic3.0 USB Isolator
I bought one today, I should have it in a week or so, just wondering if anyone tried it with the MP-D2
I was quizzing Gary about these USB isolator devices, well I specifically asked him about the Intona USB Isolator
Gary seemed to think the Intona would provide some improvements.
Maybe it was a dumb Idea to buy the Ifi iGalvanic3.0, I guess I will find out...it sure gets some good reviews. I am always skeptical though
Oh by the way I put a HiFi Tuning Supreme fuse in my MP-D2...not a night and day improvement, but everything counts right
The new USB board for MK3 is out now. I guess the MK3 is not far away.
The board is also capable with MK1, MK2. So with this, @darcman doesn't need a usb isolator.
In China, this USB Board is already sold and it has two versions . It costs about $ 90 - 150 .
