Steve informed me that the West German Amperexes are most definitely RFT rebrands. Are those tubes any good?

Not the best but better than your average lot of standard AU7's, green letter Sylvies, RCA's etc. I find them to be on par with my Holland based Amperex "flasher", maybe bit more crisp with the treble while my flasher's are more warmer and mellow.

New case! 
I have just won two auctions for some unusual French Radiotechnique tubes. They are labeled "12AU7S", which I think means they're selected as premium tubes. The printing is kind of gold-colored. The getter is angled and looks like no other I've seen before. Has anyone ever seen/owned such a tube? I couldn't find any other myself.
