At the moment I have an old pair sennheiser HD555. They are slowly starting to die on me. I want to buy a new pair of cans similar to the HD55 but with a bit more bass. However they need to be confy to wear. I will be using them mainly for gaming/music(all kinds)
 
I am looking to stay around the $300 dollar range. A shop next to my house has Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro and the DT880’s both within my price range however the 880 are 600ohm. Are these a good fit for what I am looking for? There are not many reviews on the One Pro’s. 
 
Any recommendations would help.

Save a few dollars, buy a used HD558
What source(s) do you plug the headphones into?

Make sure you have a decent amp and source, worth at least $100-150 each or equivalent.

Assuming you do, get a HD 558/598 or ATH AD700X/900/900X or AKG K701/K702\Q701.

Don't buy beyerdynamics as they are bass/treble heavy and with recessed mids. If you are used to senn then you want more mid focused headphones.

At the moment I do not use an AMP. I connect the HD555 directly to my PC and it is my main source. I have been looking at getting a Creative Sound Blaster ZX to use as an amp or even a Fiio / Bravo Audio OCEAN

Fiio or sound cards are not good enough to get the best results. Get a bravo ocean or schiit magni or o2.

The Asus Xonar DG sound card is $30, with a $10 mail in rebate this month.
It's basic head amp can decently drive the 50-ohm HD558s.
