I am getting married in March and am planning on giving my best man and groomsman upgraded aftermarket earbuds as gifts. All three are using Apple/iOS devices as sources (no amps or anything like that) and they all use the standard apple earbuds.
I am willing to spend up to $200 per pair but would rather not if there is a cheaper option. I want the sound to be a notable improvement over the standard apple earbuds/earpods but I also want something comfortable and durable. I don't want something that is going to crap out in 3-4 months of normal usage. I know all of them use earbuds on a regular basis.
My first choice is the B&W C5 which are expensive but I have heard they have issues with durability.
I myself use Grado PS1000 headphones so I know nothing about earbuds. Any thoughts, recommendations?
