Need help selecting my next pair of full sized headphones

I see your point, but I was thinking to get the amp first so I can test the headphones properly before I decide whether to keep them or not. I do not own anything powerful enough to drive any 600 ohm headphone.
 
I will see what I can find in the DT880 thread...
