Hi just bought this gem and I'm trying to get to grip with it, firstly is there an in-depth manual online? Secondly I've installed the music app and selected Ldac and aptxhd codecs as my choice but the display is still showing SBC what am I doing wrong? Forgive me for my lack of understanding lol thx for any help.

There is a dedicated thread here on Headfi for the BTR5.

Apple devices only support AAC and SBC so that may be your problem. Basically you have to make sure your source device is capable of sending LDAC or APTx-HD or otherwise it won't work as intended, the connection will default to SBC as it has for you.
