Having zero ideas about the release of this one, I bought a Xeleto a few days ago! Surprisingly, it's one of the most engaging IEM I've ever heard, can't wait to try the new generation

@Scuba Devils , I know you love your single DDs...have you put this on your list? :)

The first Gen was a great single DD, but the market was flooded with fake ones, so it became hard to find a real one.

This. The xelento and ie800 are two iems I think I’d enjoy but sooo many knock offs.

I've noticed it but yet to consider any further... I guess I'll have to now though :)

Ha. Beyer is crazy wanting to charge $1k for a single driver IEM in todays day and age. Beyer needs to bring these down to the $300-400 mark with the rest of their competition

Ye bru, u can get tribrids for $30 so any single driver IEM should be, liek, $10 mAx!!!
Tell that to Sennheiser, Turii, Campfire Audio, Final Audio and many others…

We are way pass the number of drivers = better = more expensive. It’s about quality of the product and tuning.

It doesn't matter how many drivers are inside. The quality of the driver, the implementation, the tuning, technicalities, the timbre.
I have the Monarchs Mk2 and don't really find the old Xelentos noticeably lower in sound quality. They are just different. I would even say that they are almost on par in detail retrieval. The Monarchs are a gem, do they not only have 3 types of drivers but also very rare coherency, so the bar for the Xelentos is very high. But still the Xelentos somehow compete and even win in some areas, such as fun and engagement.
I have some kilobucks hibrids and the Xelentos OG win in coherency.
Shortly - they are a single DD but they deliver.

It'd be awesome if someone who has listened to both the 1st and 2nd gen would make a comparison between them. I was just in the market for a used 1st gen, and have read mixed reviews on it lacking clarity/separation and the higher frequencies being a tad too sharp.. then the 2nd one came out. So I'm really interested to know how these aspects have changed on the 2nd gen. I've also heard the 1st gen had great musicality otherwise.
