Tidal works on your R5 Gen 1? I have both R5 and R5s (also R6 Pro) and none work with the current version of Tidal.

No issue, though I can only download playlists in no more than 4 or 5 at a time. More than that and it jams up.

@Joe Bloggs seeing as your here Joe can i ask if you are any further forward with the implementation of roon in your daps?, you were working on it a few months ago. , I ask as I have an R6 iii and use roon/tidal and it’d be very handy to have a roon app on the R6

As I said we haven't heard back from Roon about the device we have left with them for awhile and it's not really something we can do by ourselves on our end.

If anyone manages to get in contact with Roon ask them to email joe@hiby.com and/or pm me here. We've tried.

I’ll bug them, they’re usually quite good at responding to requests and seeing as so many of us dap owners use Roon you’d think they’d be keen to implement it

You can also install UAPP from the Play Store, which now has full R4 support for PCM, DSD and MQA, and bypasses Android through its own hi-res driver.

I use UAPP on my Hiby M300 and an Android smartphone. But, I like some of the recommendations and playlist that TIDAL provides. That's why I asked if it would be SRC bypass for streaming apps. But, they replied that it is SRC bypass. It will be my next purchase when it becomes available in a local store.

My R5 only works on "High" quality. "Max" does not work... just checked with Tidal 2.110.0.1180.15

Never tried Max, I am set at CD quality. But I will verify when I get home later.
