Okay this is head-fi and we all know the story behind the HD800 series of headphones. An acoustic feat of engineering, the HD800 purposely has thin ear pads as to not be involved in the the sonic signature of the headphone.

At Dekoni we try fun ways to alter the way headphones sound and feel so our Elite Series of HD800 replacement ear pads are a thick memory foam pillow. It brought much needed comfort and a reduction to fatiguing high frequencies. As always we love to have multiple options and ways to make your headphones work harder for you. That is where the new Dekoni Audio replacement ear pads for the Sennheiser HD800 series come in. A thin profile to mimic the original clamp of the HD800 while utilizing our Dekoni high density heat activated memory foam and high thread count Elite Velour fabric.

Dekoni Audio's new ear pads for the HD800, HD8XX and HD800S are now available in Elite Velour slim over at:

I am confused by the FR plot though. Bass is down by 5 db and multiple treble peaks even more pronounced than the stock. Is this real??

If I am to trust these plots, these pads would be torture device :).

It's great that you post FR charts that Show stock and the new ear pads.
However, the FR changes themself look painfull. Even brighter and even bigger lack of Bass than the HD800 had to begin with

I had the Dekoni pads for my HD820 and they provided a more consistent fit and evened our some of the excess upper bass.
