New Sony Walkman NW-A300 Series (Android 12)

Have you order them from Amazon.jp or other seller?
I saw some good prices at accessoryjack.com and they deliver here but I understood that even if they are ok, they are not authorized though.
All from Amazon.co.jp until Sony looks to have stopped them selling to Uk/Europe. My W1AM2 was from another seller but fulfilled by Amazon.co.jp and I was lucky and just fell on one.

will be buying mine from japan ...not buying a volume limited version its power is low enough as it is, adding the volume limiter will just make it sound bland

Seems like it is possible to disable it
I am sorry to say that but definitely NOT the way the Sony support UK has suggested it.

They apparently mix up 2 things - the voluntary AVLS function (that can be deactivated by the user manually) and the within the EU compulsory volume capping (that cannot be deactivated by the user at all currently).

Someone would have to crack Android first similarly like the Sony OS had been cracked before which made the Rockbox tool for change of the region code possible.

I only wonder if the SONY support UK staff is trained so badly and that is why they provide misleading information OR they lie intentionally to boost sales volumes of these loudness volume crippled EU units.

Does the EU volume cap affect Bluetooth connections? If I connect a Walkman via Bluetooth to a pair of WH-1000XM4s, isn't the amplification happening in the headphones, not on the Walkman? thanks.

do you know a site that ships worldwide the Japanese NW-A307 version please?
Hi, is there any info/reason why the japanese version should be good besides due to the situation with the european and the volume limitation?, I checked on ebay and it's 650usd, way more expensive than retail price
Has the US version (A306) any difference with the japanese? (A307)

A306 has 32 GB and A307 has 64 GB of built in memory.

If it really is NW-ZX307, its internal storage should be bigger (32 or 64 GB, I am not sure), than with NW-ZX306 (16 GB only?). This should be the only (or the main?) difference.

Ordered direct from Sony USA to replace my A105. I'll hold off on replacing my ZX507 for now. Mainly looking for better battery life.

Nice, do let us know how it is.

Restraining myself from ordering one from Sony or Amazon so I can buy one in person when I go to Japan in a couple of weeks.

Can't wait to finally ditch my A105 as my commuter dap and replace it with the 300.

and I too will hold off on replacing my ZX507 as well, that thing is still holding up like a champ.
