Happy new year to you all.
Japanese people always take long days off around new year's day.

We usually go shrine to pray for the year. We call this as the first pray for the year.

I also took some photos as the first shoot of the new year. I took winter peony flower, with a straw cap to avoid snow.
Yes, every first thing in the new year is a good thing to us
