I would assume so. The price translates to 1029.76 USD. There have been a ton of new high end headphones coming out lately, TakeT H2, Edition 9, PFR-V1, now the L5000, lol... I'm probably missing some too.

EDIT:
On second look, it appears to be wireless, battery powered, and have a built in volume control

Yes, it is indeed a wireless headphone. 24 bit.

The ATH-DWL5000 is the successor to the ATH-DCL3000.

DWL and DCL are acronyms for Digital Wire-Less and Digital Cord-Less.

There is no connection with the L3000.

I'm curious about the specifics of the ATH-900Ti : titanium cups ? or just the drivers ? Closed, open ?

I'm assuming just a housing and a tweaked a900 drivers. I had the A100ti back in 2003 and it was a pretty nice closed headphone. The A900ti is probably a limited edition. I'm wondering how many will be made.

Oh man, my wallet definitely doesn't need this now.

Thanks for the post. I'll definitely have to dig up some more info on these. I wonder how the wireless pair is going to sound. It's got quite the transmitter too..

amazing how quickly AT comes out with new models.

In Japan, Audio-Technica is a typical, street-common electronics/audio company. Think of it as a Sony or Panasonic that only make audio products. The industry runs at a high pace; everyone is expected to churn out new products every few months. (It's not like that in the U.S.)

Looking at the specs of the A900Ti and comparing them to the specs of my A900LTD and A950LTD, they are about the same. As purk has mentioned, the A900Ti has semi-polished titanium enclosures, scheduled release is on Dec. 7 with reserves being taken at Audiocubes.
