Hi all,

We are excited to announce that we’re opening pre-orders for the NITSCH x Schiit Magni Piety on Sunday at 9AM PT right on the Magni Piety product page. The demand is high, and our allocation from NITSCH is limited, so we expect them to sell out fast. Be ready at 9AM PT to get yours before they’re gone.

The Piety’s design is a new take on the Continuity circuit used in the Schiit Jotunheim 2. Its output stage features a massively paralleled transistor design (a lot of transistors in each amp) that results in triode-like measurements. In plain English, the Piety is half the size of a Jotunheim 2, uses smaller transistors, and was tweaked for a tube-like sound.

Can someone explain a bit more how this differs from the Magni+ that also is out just today?

Significantly. It's a much more musical amp, with the benefits and drawbacks. Supposedly a very enjoyable amp.

@Baten
The new Magni + has more power.
Three positioning gain switch up front.
New chassis.
Some re-positing of "stuff".
All stated via Jason in the Schiit thread.
Milled knob.

It says Piety sold on Apos are all 120/60 but this implies there are others being sold elsewhere at different voltages?
Yeah, we are only catering to US audiences. All other voltages and international sales would take place on NITSCH: https://nitschsound.com/

Describing a component as musical or possessing musicality offers zero insight into how it sounds. It simply states that the listener finds the component to be subjectively pleasing. In other words, “I like this” dressed up in a suit and tie, talking loud and saying nothing.

I can describe in one word my impression of all of the amps that I have owned that are branded with the name that when spoken sounds the same as a commonly used definition of feces: Pfffft!
