Oh man. So I took 6 weeks away from this post. Why? This email that I got on August 30th:

Guys, it's been a couple of days past 6 weeks. That means I can start getting eager for my email showing me the picture. I can't wait! The wait shall be over soon. Thankfully, Diablo 3 kept me really busy and not thinking about these the past few weeks.

I'm seriously excited right now. Can't wait to see what they'll look like!

Do you have more photos of the K10U that you can share with us John?

The question has been answered several times.

Any time the volume of a cavity changes, so too the resonant frequency of said cavity will change.

Is the change subjectively detectable? That is the real question.

The same phenomenom holds true with universals vs CIEMs

The question has been answered theoretically, in general terms several times.

No offense but my question is more simple. If you pop the old K10u into your ears, and then pop the new K10u into your ears, do you or anyone at Noble (the only ones who have tried the new K10u I suppose) hear a difference. I you say : nothing significant, than I have my answer.

I don't like to give out subjectve statements, as I could say....  "I hear no difference" and then some one else can come along and say, "I hear a signigant difference, thus Dr. John Moulton is a con artist.

Or I could say, "The new K10 U sounds significantly better," and then some one else can come along and say, "I hear no signigant difference, thus Dr. John Moulton is a con artist.

sooooo

I stick to the facts

Any time the volume of a cavity changes, so too the resonant frequency of said cavity will change.

I thought BA drivers are self contained units sound wise. That's why the materials used in a Prestige make no difference to the sound?

The cavity in question would be ear canal, insertion depth differences will alter the volume within the ear canal, which would change the resonant accoustics within the ear canal.

Something also to consider is that ear canal volume differs per individual, but there is an "average" among us humans.

Ah. Got you. So we all hear a slightly different K10! :)

Hi John & Brannan, not sure if this has been discussed before, but will you be making a trip to CanJam Singapore in February? Would be fantastic if you guys could attend.
