Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

Let me share my 2 cents,

I ordered my custom encore and was "impatiently" waiting for my set after sending my ear impression to US office. I read the FAQ on the Noble website and fully understand theres a wait time for 6-8 weeks for my set after Noble sent my ear impression to their lab. Even so, I was hoping it could be faster. So what did I do?

I PM brannon and Wizard and that leads me to a series of email communication that eventually leads to the delivery of my set (as shown) on time.

my personal advice : dont use forum as a mean of sales order enquries, I recognise forum is for information sharing , not sales support. As mentioned by Wizard earlier, beside your nick, he wont be able to recognise who you are, whats your order, when did you order, and even worse, are you a competitor trying to dis-credit Noble. Key point here, public forum is the bad place to get sales support. My question is whats the point of posting that in a public forum? To get more attention? To get things resolved? To get more forum folks to help you with rushing the order? I hate to say this, this is completely wrong. Based on my experience with Noble and others, going private (PM) or email is the best way to get things fixed.

My final advice : Do not hesitate to "bombbard" them (email is listed on their website). :p

Man, those really did turn out lovely. :)

I am very happy with my Encore's but i have a feeling that the experience will be much better with a CIEM...... so i will wait for a black friday or a birthday and get a CIEM...

Any suggestions for a long time IEM but a first time CIEM user?

Understand that everyone's ear canal is different so everyone's experience is unique as well. Some people are great candidates for ciems some are not. Some people are great candidates for iems but not ciems.

Lifestyle, listening environment, ear anatomy all play a role in the candidacy process

Its always amazed me how some people cant use a custom, I mean its a custom, its MADE for you. Its like a custom suit not fitting, I guess.

I don’t know where all the negativity originated from but I’ve never had a BAD experience especially from the Wizard. Sure, maybe I had to wait a little longer but people;Brannan is the one doing the conventions and meets most often, fields the calls and communication for the company, and does anyone have any empathy for all the natural disasters having happened in California? I was willing to wait and my patience has been rewarded. Bespoke products can’t be rushed. Treat others like you would like to be treated.

Oddly enough I'm one of those people that can't use ciems effectively. My ear canals have severe bends in them, essentially a "hook" shape. While I can use them, I lean more toward the Universal camp. (Yes it's a bit strange, the guy that redefined what a CIEM is, can't really even use one)

I was going to get impressions done at the end of 2016 however at that time my canals were too blocked up. Following a good expunging they were then too sore. So I gave up in the end. Tbh the end would seriously have to justify the highly invasive, at times painful means for me to want to pursue it again. Frankly my UIEMs have done me orright over the years, particularly because my capacious ears can hold most tips comfortably if they’re large enough.

I probably wont ever understand it, you are making the shape to fit someone ears. I guess ears are just weird, is it mostly an issue with the sound tubes and bores?

Regarding making the shape

The problem is if the bend of the ear is too tight, the insertion is essentially impossible, so the solution is to cut the ear canal portion of the ciem really short.... not ideal.

Universals, especially small ones, sometimes have the ability to sit in the ear canal and follow the bends a bit better than CIEMs

At least that is my experience, other folks mileage may vary
