So, after only 1 year, my Red Wave pads are cracking and pitting. I have headphones 25+ years old with zero cracks, so this is new to me. The pads have always been hard to the touch, not plushy at all. Because of this they have always slid around on my head. I like plushy and comfortable, preferably velour.

Anyway, the pads measure 96mm across (that's 9.6cm or 3.7in.) I just measured them myself several times for accuracy.

I'm looking at some Velour/Leather pads for Beyerdynamic DT770 (Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Replacement-Earpads-Ear-Pad-Pads-Cushion-For-Beyerdynamic-DT770-DT880-DT990-/200871171969?pt=US_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item2ec4dad781 ) Maybe they will fit, They say the pads are 100mm across, which is pretty darn close to the actual size of the Red Wave.

I understand that any pads I look for will not have the same, famous red stripe, but I'll have to tough it out. I'm looking for more comfort now than anything, as the stock pads are a bit too hard for my tastes.

Please, leave any suggestions below. I will read and consider every one.
