Really just a simple question. I have an older pair of Sony MDR-NC7 headphones and would like to replace the ear cushions so that they are over ear instead of on ear. I can easily switch them out, I just can't seem to find a set that I know will fit this model.

It would be easy to just replace them, but they sound fine to me. I also have a pair of Beats Solo 3's, but they don't have noise cancelling.

Hey there. I'm no headfi pro but I just went through a similar situation. You can dethread the current pads and sew on new adds of your liking which is what I did. The process wasnt fun but it was empowering. I now know that I can do this again and do a better job as needed... My options have opened up drastically.

Or you can find exact matches that meet your specifications (what youre originally doing)...

Or you can break out the adhesives (hot glue, glue, double sided tape etc) and just stick those pads to your setup... I've seen some interesting things here.
