Any one uses (velour) these from ebay? Is it ok as replacement or go with the original which is kind of expensive.

I've gotten about 15 sets of 100mm cheap replacement pads off eBay & Amazon, both velour & pleather, which fit and are plenty comfortable. However, none seemed to closely restore the sound of my 880s (1980 version):  Beyer just made the pads available again a few months ago ($$, right), and the results are stunning.  Surround compression, pleather reflection, inner donut hole diameter, and the kinky venting holes on the backside all come into play.  But all those 100mm replacement pads fit just fine.
