I have had my M50x for about a year now and I've liked them, except for one thing which is the pads. I have tried 4 different pads and haven't really liked any of them.
I have tried:
Stock pads, they are really uncomfortable.
Brainwavz HM5, they are really comfortable but reduce the bass and bring up the highs too much.
Hyperx Cloud pleather pads, they are uncomfortable (not as bad as the stock pads. I'm currently using these)
Hyperx Cloud velour pads, they reduce the bass and don't have any isolation
I want pads that are extremely comfortable and don't change the sound too much. My budget is about 50$.

I am skeptical of protein leather(fake leather) claimed to be better than the standard pleather pads headphones come with.
