Hello,

i'm looking for a headphone and i dont know which one is the best for me.

I need the headphone for Music prio 1 (HipHop and Reggae) and for Movies prio 2.
The Headphone should have a good bass.
These 3 headphones looks nice:
AKG 601
AKG 701
HD 650

which one is the best for my music? I hope somebody can help me.

You can remove the AKGs from your list, they are not that fantastic as Hip Hop/Reggae cans. Not enough bass. The HD650 is not bad, but you can do better than them, at least without a high-end setup. I suggest that you look into the Denons or Ultrasones, they are the best options when you need something with powerful bass.

Agreed with scytheavatar about the akg and senns.
I think you should look at the ultrasone line.

i looked on the ultrasone homepage but there are so much different headphones. Can anybody recommend a headphone for my needs

If you don't know what to get you should stay away from the HD650 or any of the higher end phones and get one of the mid range phones. Like the HFI 780 or the D2000. And no, don't get the DT880, it isn't for you either. Then many people will tell you to get the DT770, but personally I think the HFI 780 and D2000 are better deals. The DT770 will be harder to drive.

but what is with the Beyerdynamic DT 990? A lot of people in other and this forum say this is a good headphone for hipop and has a good bass.
They are cheaper than the Denon D2000.

The DT880/DT990 and to a lesser extent the DT770 all are power hungry phones and will require a good amp to sound at their best. So unless you are willing to invest on a good amp I wouldn't recommend you to get them. Also, you might find the DT990 to be too harsh and sibilant. So for a n00b the D2000 is a safer choice, besides having good bass and not being too picky about the source they are well rounded and have few things to hate about.

What about the ATH-A700? It's the closed version of the AD700. Lots of good reviews on Amazon for them.

i will take the Denon D2000 - there are a lot of good reviews and he is a good allrounder.
If i dont like them, i send him back and give another headphone a chance
