I really don't need them, but I do love having loads of space.

im glad you mentioned mediamonkey, i decided to check it out and its now my media player

Traded in my M2s for this little baby. It has been modded with some sort of silver internal wiring. Great full bodied sound with crystal highs. Lovely.

Finally, it looks like your system changed Krmathis!

I saw the ad for the Stax. Prefer the K1000 I assume?

Nhancakes, you sure you want the sun heating that vinyl up each day? I would think that to be a really bad idea.

Not a concern really because my room is set at ~64 degrees.

The sunlight can transfer heat to the vinyl without affecting the ambient temperature in the room.

Bad.

i considered it before, but I don't think much of it because i've checked them out in the middle of the day to see if they were getting heated up. they weren't. could be attributed to the fact they're under the vent. And they've been there for months now, and no signs of warping.

Not trying to tell you what to do...just wanted you to be aware.

Heating and cooling, even a tiny amount, is a really bad thing for vinyl. Just saying.

thanks for the concern, I moved it down from the window anyway as to avoid the ire of other head-fiers. I would have put them on the shelf above my record player but it has an odd border that puts a good deal of pressure on an area of the record leaning against it. But these records have gone through worse: being transported 4 hours in the bed of my truck through 100+ degree weather.

Yes, that is right.
One reason may be that I have proper amplification for the K1000, but not for the SR-007BL. But then again there is "something" with the K1000.
