So while I mostly listening to all of my headphones without EQ, I started playing around with it a little while back. Mostly to try to discover what sound signatures I like, via using measurements of two headphones to EQ one roughly to the FR of the other.

More recently though I started building an EQ preset for my cheapest pair, my $15 Tanchjim Zero IEMs, and after a bunch of tweaking and A/B testing, I've built an EQ preset for it that I'm enjoying as much as my favourite pair of headphones (my K702), which cost me 10x as much!

That got me wondering if anyone here has taken the time to make their own EQ presets for any of their headphones? If you have, share it here, and remember to include the headphone/IEM it's for, as well as the app you need to import the EQ.

Here's mine:

Tanchjim Zero EQ for EqualizerAPO (save it as a .txt file and import into the app - make sure to apply -7dB of preamp, for some reason the exported preset doesn't add it automatically)

Here's what the result of the EQ looks like. Blue line = Tanchjim Zero FR, green line = Tanchjim Zero after my EQ:

Cleans up the muddiness that the Zero has from slightly too much energy in the lower mids, adds some detail (the slight 1.5KHz bump and boost to > 10KHz), expands the soundstage (the 2.5KHz to 5KHz scoop), and significantly improves the low end - to my ears at least.

Share yours below if you have them! Remember music is subjective so don't be afraid to share it even if you don't think it's that good - if your ears like it, there's probably someone else here who will. :)
