Matrix (8.5/10): Love this movie. Such an interesting concept executed extremely well. Great for pure entertainment as well as intellectually stimulating.

Casino (5.5/10): Decent movie, just really tough to watch at some points and really boring at others.

Ben-Hur (6/10): Some really good stretches including the chariot scene but the first and last hours of the movie just crawl. Had moderate to outright poor acting at times
and some pretty terrible morals/lessons. Overall it was enjoyable but vastly overrated. John Pym's comment that it was "four-hour Sunday school lesson" was pretty spot on.

Educating Rita (4.5/10): Had to watch this for a class. Was extremely tedious and I had to take a few breaks to get away from Julie Walters' voice. Would have been decent atleast but the ending (as noted by Ebert) was a total cop out.
Felt like they spent the whole movie developing the relationship between the two characters and then they don't know how to resolve it. So they don't.

Beyond the Reach. (2014)  8/10.  For anyone old enough to remember a remarkably well made TV film in the 70's called Savages. This is a remake featuring Michael Douglas in the role created by Andy Griffith.  The story is the "Most Dangerous Game" with some updates so it is not a new theme to cinema. This version suffers only from a predicable Hollywood ending where it does not fit. The film up until the last 10 minutes is quite a decent cat and mouse tale and well worth the watch.

As I have never seen Savages available this film is a not bad substitute. Worth a look.

W.M.D. (2015) If you voted for GW even once then avoid this one. If you did not, then it is an absolute required watch. Scathing Satire on a small budget. No body gets out alive here.:)

X Night of Vengeance (2011)   If you are in the mood for Australian Film Noir then look no further. This is a very raw seedy underworld thing shot very stylishly.  The subject matter may not be for some (The lead is a prostitute) but for any fan of the genre it is a fine evenings entertainment.

Interstellar - 7/10.  just wasn't happy with the ending.

I didn't mind Interstellar's ending.
I thought it was an excellent movie.
But it's not as good as Nolan's "The Prestige" or "Inception" or "The Dark Knight".

"Pacific Rim":
9/10 if I pretend I am 17 again!

"Imitation Game" [9.0/10]: I have been intrigued with the Enigma story since I first read about it decades ago. This movie tells the British codebreaking part of the story extremely well. The story of Alan Turing and his team even surpasses the story of the breaking of the code system created by the Germans using the Enigma machine. Complex story, wonderful performances on all counts.

Avengers 2

Pretty much the same thing as the previous one. Lots of action, lame one-liners and more action. Still fairly entertaining, but wouldn't watch again.
6/10

Honestly, the Daredevil series on Netflix is much better than any of the Marvel superhero movies I've seen.

Why a 10? I would rate it 5 at best.

Why a 5? I would probably rate it closer to 10 as well. I have not read the books or the comics though. I always find movies crap if I done that.
