Me now using Cowon iaudio 9 + Pico amp/DAC and using Shure SE535 (sometimes Audio Technica ATH-EW9 when my ears got infection!).
any recommendation of upgrade? me listening to instrumental music + female vocals most of the time.

Bengkia! Always see you around HWZ forums. I think at this level, anything from the SE535 will most prolly be a side-step, though there are different preferences for and among top-tiers IEMs, like the way I prefer the SM3s to the SE535s. 
 
Perhaps it's time to go customs.
