HI guys. I'm looking for some options to either compliment or replace my current setup. I currently have (ignore my signature for now, it needs to be updated)
  • D10s > drop thx aaa one
  • E30 > 4 port rca switch > drop o2, topping l30, fxaudio tube 02mkii, Koss 95x on suca tube t1
  • Fiio bta30
  • Chord mojo (v1)
  • Ibasso dc05
  • Ayima dac a2
I also have a prodigy cube black to feed a toslink line to.the bta 30

I'm aiming for the Fiio k9 pro ess eventually

I use these for my current workload but Id like more options for consolidation (hence the k9pro) but something(s) that can help me simplify things a bit. I also use attenuators (80 & 220) variably depending on the headphone and amp I use (with good results). I just think I can do better than this setup. Can anyone suggest some options either with new gear or with reconfiguration my current setup? my limit is currently $150, $200 if I push.
Much, much appreciated
:v:

If you're willing to control the volume on whatever is playing your music instead of on the DAC/Amp, the Venture Electronics Megatron is compact and powerful with good specs.

Get it directly from Venture for $50 plus $6 shipping, instead of from AliExpress for twice as much!

I have the Magni 3 but this is smaller, less bulky, doesn't have that heavy power supply, doesn't get warm and includes a DAC. Runs my 470 ohm ATH-R70X easily .

I have the magni 3 on my second setup and I do like it and I’ve had my eye on some of their other products as well. If you had to choose a dac from there under 200 what would you recommend if you can. Much thanks ✌️
I have the Modi 3+ and like it. The newer version is the 3E and I've read good things about that. It's $129. I would consider that.

I’m definitely going to check that out. I’m always up for the lesser known products/brands too. If it’s pushing 470 easily, then I’m interested because I typically use attenuators. Much thanks ✌️

Thanks. I wasn’t aware that there was an updated version. I was going to get the modi some time ago but I pulled the trigger on the e30 instead. Think I’ll have me a look at the 3e. Thanks my G ✌️
