hi

i bought westone 4.
i really like the sound, comfort and Clarity it produces.
but sometimes i feel my left ear sounds less than right
but i am not able to judge whether it is the earphone mistake or the original music sounds like this
i also has brainwaz m1. this sounds no difference to me.

i also checked with the audio test sound from 20hz to 20khz using westone 4.
it also sounds good in two channels without any difference

can anyone suggest the ways to test the unbalance between earpiece in westone4

regards

If you're tested it with another pair of headphoens and get the same imbalance, there are two possibilities.  Neither are the headphones themselves:
  1. Your hearing slightly slanted to one side naturally.
  2. You have a better seal in one ear than the other (or different seal).  this can be caused due to the fact that both of your ears are not the same shape.  Some people use one size of tip in on ear and another size in the other.
  3. The song itself is shifted that direction, test with other songs.

hi tinyman392

thanks for ur fast reponse. i need some more clarification
if the song itself is shifted to one direction then is it possible to get the difference in sound using
brainwaz m1 or any other level end earphone when compared to w4

have u suggest any songs for normal and shifted scenario. so that i can check.

If the song is panned one direction, it will be panned that direction with every pair of headphones.  What you can always try is to set your device to Mono output (some devices support this, not all) and test that way.

Play MONO song, or switch to mono on player, sound should be at center of your head.
