Hey, I am new to this field. And just want to get a headphone, while I was using iphone ear phone for daily use.
Since Chase UR has rebated, and can get either one between $40-$65.
So any recommendations?
Thanks a lot!

Of the three, if you want all out bass with terrible mids and highs, get the XB500. If you want decent bass but decent details as well, the HD439. HD202s are way below HD439's level.

I myself have the Senn's HD 205 and can say they don't compare with the Sony's XB500 (which I tried at a Sony Store), in terms of excitement.  The 205 are basically neutral in all ranges, whereas the XB500 emphasize bass considerably, but, surprisingly, without affecting the rest of the sound spectrum;  they are definitely designed to satisfy the "Basshead" market and do a good job at that. So much so, that I intend to get them along the way, just for the fun of the bass output. Now, my specif question is:  How do the XB500 stand in front of the Senn's HD 439? If the Senn's compare decently, then I will go ahead for them instantly. Please share; all comments will be greatly appreciated.

The 205 are pretty awful. Don't consider those. The XB500 are nice, exciting, and comfortable. Though will not suit more complicated genres, such as metal or jazz or anything not modern. The 439 are well rounded, comfortable and nicely detailed. I like them a lot. I don't like their build quality though, somewhat flimsy.
