I took my first serious IEM, a pair of Brainwavz M3 and i want to set up my Clip+ EQ. I listen to rock of all types but I really don't know how to do this with Rockbox, this is the first time I have ever used it.  Can someone help me with Gain - Freq - Q ? Thanks very much in advance for your help, is it really appreciated...

The best advice is spend time playing with Rockbox, start off just using the treble and bass controls and then branch out later, only you know how you like your music to sound there is no perfect EQ we all hear differently.

yes yes, i know everybody has different tastes but i really don't know where to start.

if someone post a config for a typical rock usage, it would help me a lot

i found this setting quite good, but there is still something wrong:

LS: gain 4.0 - cutoff 100 - q 0.7
PK1: gain 1.0 - cutoff 400 - q 1.0
PK2: gain -2.0 - cutoff 800 - q 1.0
PK3: gain 1.0 - cutoff 4000 - q 1.0
HS: gain 4.0 - cutoff 12000 - q 0.7

Precut: -1.5db

Bass: 14db
Treble: 12db

what did you do for improve it?

OK, you should either use the Bass and Treble controls, or use the EQ.....not both.
