I really like the sound of my SRH 440's, which is why when I broke the first one, I bought another - but I've broken 2 pairs now, in exactly the same way. By falling asleep in them.

The piece of plastic that connects the earcups to the headband snaps, everything else about the headphones works fine. I also have extra cables and cushions (Shure SRH840 cushions which I feel are a lot more comfortable than the 440 ones).

Pictures of the headphones are below. http://imgur.com/a/gbPrP

Anyone have any ideas? I could send them into Shure, but according to their website, it's 40 bucks per pair plus shipping since they're roughly 3.5 and 2 years old.
