Ive been on the hunt for new headphones for the past few weeks now. Ive sold my DT880's and am looking to up something with a little more bass. I have a very tight budget these days and my absolute top price is 150. I like the look of the sonys with the t250 pads and I've heard really good things but I'm concerned about the high end roll off and what the new pads will do to the sound character. The samson sr950 is ready to go out of the box but I'm concerned that they are not going to be detailed enough. If anyone has some insight I would really appreciate it.

Currently my best headphone, for under $100, is the Gemini HSR-1000 ($45)

They seem to be relabeled Takstar Pro 80s

The SR950 is several leagues below the DT880... sound quality wise will be definitely inferior.
The 7506 is much more grainy on the highs. and less bass.

Yeah I tried two sr950's the first pair had a loose left driver and the second pair was muddy..... just crap. I ended up buying dt770's.
