Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

We are just taking side dishes and my daughter is baking the turkey. I end up carving the turkey so I may take along my own knife this year. Not everyone has the same interpretation of what a sharp knife is. A great album by the way.
When we travel to visit family we always check a bag for a knife or two. I get you…

I was stationed in Friedberg after basic training. Twenty years later, I think going to Europe at 18 was one of the best things I ever did.
Did another tour in Frankfurt up that way and got Henninger and others delivered to my third floor flat and empties taken away. As posh as I ever needed.

This Thanksgiving, I wanted to express my gratitude to @Jason Stoddard and all the other folks at Schiit Audio. My current Schiit stack, although it was both discontinued shortly after I bought them (!), continues to amaze me with its clarity, balance and musicality. For the price I paid, I'm shocked at the level of sound quality I get to listen to every day.

Thanks, folks!

And thanks to Head-Fi for making this great online community possible.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone, eh 🇨🇦 !

I think we had that same record growing up. Always liked it.
May not be *exactly* the same, as the narration in ours was in Portuguese.

As best I can tell the Holo May KTE is below our $8,000 ceiling, so it may be included. I will not know till after our tests are over.
Yes, but... I've listened/owned quite a few NOS DACs, and however delightful they are in pure NOS, ultimately they fall short in one area or another for Redbook material. But complemented with well-chosen external DSP, which requires a sufficiently powerful computer, the story can be different, but the cost may end up above $8K.

My wife warns visitors that our knives are “Sharp. Really, don‘t touch the sharp part!” People who live with dull knives touch the edges routinely.

I test with a fingernail, if the blade digs in I know it is sharp.

I am leaving most of the selection of DAC’s to others who own them or have experience with them. I have an incredible computer my son put together for $10,000. I may consider a DSP later if need be. All test DAC’s will go through a test process before I hear them, I am not allowed to say much about the people in the background.🤪
