Thanks @claybomb - I looked for an update on this just last week. Nothing. Seems somewhat disappointing, that they still haven't released a product, and when they do, it'll be a 12AX7. None of the other tubes on their radar (6L6, EL34, EL84 12 AT7, and 6V6) are on my wish list. I guess I had higher hopes than Western Electric going from a one tube ($1,950CAD mp) company, to a two tube company.

That the next one is the 12AX7 sounds like the only sane move to me. The market for that, thanks to guitar amps, is much much bigger unless I'm quite misinformed.

Then, on the other hand, I think we'd like to see some tubes suitable for hifi preamps and headamps. I do believe Jason mentioned this manufacturer in one of his posts earlier in the tube panic. IIRC it seemed like there was no overlap in future plans as it stood, but the future is notoriously hard to predict.

production on Freya N has been discontinued. if you find one in b-stock, regardless of voltage, grab it quick, as 115V versions can be converted to 230V and vice versa for a nominal fee "voltage change service" by Schiit prior to shipping. if converting voltage, best to indicate so in notes section on the order page, as well as sending a separate email to orders@schiit.com or info@schiit.com.

Yes from a business perspective, it's a guitar amp market, agreed - totally makes sense. There may be some collateral 'home audio' spin-off, but this is a guitar focused lineup. WE300B for audio, 12AX7 guitar, done.

Syn - the baddest little 2 channel microphone preamp with Unison out. At $399 I could see that that pissing some people off with a no nonsense, plug it in and go approach that sounds better than the $1-2k options out there. Throw in some digital VU's and everyone is happy.
