Riffing along with @Ableza - recommended drams: I couldn't pronounce Bunnahabhain, so I stuck with Aberlour. Thank you, @Ableza.

I love the Aberlour A'bunadh. I actually had a snifter of Johnny Walker Green last night. Unusual for me to go for a blend, but it is a blend of malts. Very pleasant.

All Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields/Neville Marriner recordings of 20th classics for $9.25! https://www.prestomusic.com/classical/products/7996044--marriner-the-academy-20th-century-classics

I found this killer deal looking for their recording of Bartók's Music for strings, percussion, and celesta and Divertimento, which I have in an unfortunately too-scratched vinyl, and always really liked. The digital remaster of those originals came together with 9 discs (Stravinsky, Prokofieff, Hindemith, Sibelius, Shostakovich, Webern, ...) in a big Zip file. Happy Christmas listening!
Sadly, it's €38.75 when you access from Europe ... probably still a good buy tho'

Merry Christmas to All from Downunder.
Contrary to popular belief that we bask in summer sun at Xmas time, in the last 24 hours we have had 70mm (3") of rain with more on the way and its 15 degrees C outside.

Anyhow, there's a slab of meat in the smoker, and more going on as Xmas lunch comes together. Life is good!

Enjoy the day, Everyone :relieved:

What?! {{or as a fellow Special Ed. teacher used to say, well-that's-funny}}. What's the catch?

Weird DRM bolted onto the files? Early, meh-quality recordings? Hatchet-job transfer to FLAC files? Legit transfer from the original DECA discs? I'm not trying to be an a@@hole, @earnmyturns . What am I missing? :triportsad:
Sometimes you just get a good deal. :)

It's like the few sub-$10 Tone Poet and Blue Note Classic records I nabbed from a couple of online stores this past year.

I'd be interested in this oregon product..been many many years (1976) since I drank a 'Kamikaze' made with stoly that was out of this world. Fast forward to the end of 2023... today bought a local distillers (california barber lee) heritage corn bourbon...great on ice! listening to Son Volt and Wilco on CDs
Should be able to find it at most Total Wine locations, if you've got one near you. It's a very nice sipping vodka and works very well in cocktails. Cheers!
