Unless I get an offer I cannot refuse this is the last flight board on my Head-Fi list, going to @bcowen whenever he stops being a Gypsy and has an address other than his car’s license plate number. Tiger maple, cherry, bloodwood, and rosewood. Now I get to plan my own.😁
Incredible

Please tell me there is a cardboard core in this flight board! Really though, a beautiful piece!

Kudos. I've never seen veneered cardboard look so 'elegant'.

I have not done final sanding or finish so there are still a few things to clean up, but this is close to what the finished product will look like. I may make cardboard feet and glue them to the board.

So many choices here! What's your favourite grade and type of cardboard for feet?

Isn't bcowen's board supposed to be sideways to match his sideways cardboard equipment?

Looks like they’re having a Presidents Day Sale from their “Outlet Store.”

https://www.svsound.com/collections/outlet-specials
Not only that, but just got an email that they refreshed the stock. I got a 3000 micro with a pretty small blemish at 250 off, with all the same warranties. Where I'm shoving this little thing, nobody will notice. Or as my dad says (usually when I've installed or made something, er, not perfectly centered or squared), "you'll never see it from the road."

I thought that he demanded triple wall cardboard----.
What an ingrate. All the more reason to build it out of a used and flattened Chinet dinner plates. :unamused:

Well the wood is going in a couple different directions, I also had to build it big enough to accommodate his box of wine.😄IMG_7279.jpegIMG_7278.jpeg

You may have over estimated Bill's wine board needs. :D

Is it too late to add a straw holder?

I don't think we should start showing off book cases here. That would force me to walk into each room in the house (except the kitchen), and into the garage to get all my book cases included. I think there are 10 or 12 here that are mostly full of SF and Fantasy books. On the other hand, I haven't bought more than a couple paper books in the last couple years since I switched to reading on a Kindle. Love how easy it is. I think I have about 250 books on my Kindle, roughly half of them unread. One of the great things about eBooks is that they often go on sale for between $1.00 and $3.00 so I can afford even more of them!

Latest iterateration. Switched back to the rpi 4 to compare w the pi 5. With the pi 4 at least the modules included w the kernel just work, but I'm still not convinced it sounds as good as w the pi 5.

More iterations to come 🙂
Sounds interest'in. Like'in it almost as much as the doggie pics.

Yggy fed by Urd via Unison sounds the most amazing to me. Closest to vinyl IMHO. The more that I listen to CDs spun on Yggy, the more that I hear the limitations of my streamer... regardless of sample/bit rates.

Schiit hit the ball out of the park with Urd. Absolutely fabulous. I'm buying CDs again, and I'm loving how inexpensive they are (vs. LPs).

I couldn't agree more. It's as if I bought an entire new cd collection

Oh man. That's gorgeous! I need to hurry up and get moved. And to all the Tiger Maple wannabees, nyah nyah nyah.

I'm pretty sure I'm not worthy, but I'm confident everyone will agree with me on that.
