Put Stjarna in Google and this came out:

Noun. stjärna c. a star (celestial body) - a star (famous or talented person, (geometry) a star.

Just a wild thought / guess - it’s the geometry / topology gives this name. Five or six tubes?

That would be cool, but I think the name Stjarna (star), being a phono pre, follows from their turntable Sol (sun, which is also a star, “our” star).

The Sol is unfortunately out of production but hopefully Stjarna will be around for a long time!

Idea! Schiit should consider mobile audio components!

The only possibility I see for Schiit is power amplifiers. Anything further upstream is not easy in many cars of the last 15 years because of increasingly tight integration of the audio system into the rest of the automotive electronics.

My fire pit is becoming a bed of hot coals. Music is all set, I have chosen the wine so it is time to kick back for a bit.

Tonight’s menu includes salt potatoes ( an Eastern thing I learned from a lady in Buffalo NY.)
A garden salad with homemade dressing.
And beef filet strips that have been marinating.

Basically I will add wood coals to small hibachis as well as applewood chips that have been soaking in beer.

Each person can then cook their own beef. Maybe 10-15 seconds per side (the beef then melts in the mouth). The smoked flavor and seasoned marinade are magical and work well with the other dishes. My form of meat and potatoes.
Baklava for dessert and I have been known to make hot buttered rum on cool nights.

Sounds nice. It snowed here yesterday- I am feeling the need to move somewhere warmer.
