I'll give the GE another chance. I'm listening to Sequestered Keep, medieval music sounds sweet on a tube.

I purchased these a few years ago: $75 as I recall. Why not send @Deyan a PM? .... he has responded promptly to my inquiries.Approximately how much are these adapters?
Actually they are 50$I purchased these a few years ago: $75 as I recall. Why not send @Deyan a PM? .... he has responded promptly to my inquiries.
Thank you. I will be contacting you in the future.Actually they are 50$
It has been quite a while since I owned Lyr 3 - which was sold to partly fund Icon Audio HP8 purchase. Vali 3 is a recent purchase. Any sonic 'comparison' I might make, across time, between Lyr 3 and Vali 3 is a memory . I'm happy to say that Vali 3 is sonically outstanding.Wait I remember this photo. Did you had a Lyr 3?
Do you like Vali 3 better?
My "" is not for your choice of tube but for your admission of insatiable tinkering!I just gotta mess with things.
I do need to find what box my audio cleaners are hiding in so I can clean the pins on the 12AX7s I have and a few other tubes. Then there will be more tinkering. My "" is not for your choice of tube but for your admission of insatiable tinkering!
My V2 plays well with 12AU7s. I gotta imagine the V3 will too - probably even better considering the lower noise floor (esp. with the higher gain flavours)I have a 'boatload' of 12AT7 and 12AU7 tubes that I am curious to try in Vali 3. To that end, a few of these are on the way. I can't wait to give the 'Footscray' (Brimar CV455-KB/FB) and others a go. With the 'gain' of 5670 being 35x, I may forgo trying 12AX7 (100x) in Vali 3 .
Lol keep in mind that:I do need to find what box my audio cleaners are hiding in so I can clean the pins on the 12AX7s I have and a few other tubes. Then there will be more tinkering.
