** Same here. For me, 660S2 and Clear OG convincingly present the music in their own ways.

You mean the foam behind the pads? Does it really help to improve the sound if i remove it?Since I pulled the foam out of the HD660S2's, they are almost neck and neck. Since I got my Violectric back, this duo is killing it all day, every day.

It did for me. If you want to try it, just pull off the pads, remove the foam and try it for an hour or three. Long term, you have to protect the drivers though.
I prefer the warmer sound of the 660S2 as they are. So whether it helps is purely subjective to your preference of audio.

I’m on the fence. I’m looking to get something sub $1k to compliment my current staples. Intrigued by the potential of the 660s2 but I keep seeing mention made about Focal Elex and Clear MG. Are these competing in a complimentary or contrasting manner regarding sound profile?
Check out this review. Maybe it will help. I have an Elex on the way since you can grab it for $459 on Headphones.com right now. Too good of a price. I plan on using Dekoni pads to make it warmer sounding though.

Now I have everything from HD5 HD6 line , WelcomeHD660S2.
Sennheiser is it to hard to get the grill behind the driver also bronze color? On S1 everything was silver.

Yeah on my 600 650 is foam on 660s is metal mesh silver, on 660s2 is also metal mesh but not bronze like the other silver parts that painted bronze on S2 for example the logo on top and the logos on the caps .

Finally went back to the office this week -- after nearly 4 years working from home, and after a several months request from a territorialist wife to go back to the office. 
So I brought back to the office a good old Magni/Modi stack I had. But wait, in these days I can even accommodate an open-back headphone, so I also brought an old 58X as well.
To keep this short, and as I type listening to the HD660S2, I feel that I need to start bringing the main rig there and see what happens.

There is always a period of adjustment going from one headphone to another. I finished yesterday with the S2's and put on the FiiO FT5's today. The change was not smooth. I am loving my FT5's tonight, but initially they lacked clarity and openess compared to the S2's.
The S2's are definitely near the top of my list.
But I really am enjoying my FT5's out of my Violectric V220 blowing the Alligator Records collection:
