Can someone tell me the difference between these two cans. The 600 are a $100 cheaper. I am using the brand new MacBook Pro 14" built in DAC/Amp. This thing can drive 150 ohms like its nothing. It goes up to 24bit/96khz. I am currently listening to the HD58x on the MacBook. I want to upgrade to either the HD600 or the HD660s. I like crisp highs. I do not like the veil the HD650 has.

If you are going to power it exclusively with the MacBook you are probably going to be better off with the 660s. It uses a 150 ohm driver like the 58X and is noticeably easier to drive then 600.

The 660s is not as dark as the 650 and has the best imaging in the family. It has a noticeably wider soundstage than the 600. I think the 600 has slightly more extended treble than the 660s, but the 660s has much better bass. With your current equipment that's what I would go with. If you wanted to introduce an otl tube amp to the mix I would go with the 600. If you get curious about the otl tube amp in the future you could always add the 600 later (wouldn't count out 650/6XX either, they come alive on a good otl tube amp).
