Sennheiser Sighting in the NY Times

In the Sunday November 13 2005 issue there's an article about US inventors. Pictured on page 1 of the section featuring that article is James West, co-inventor (with Gerhard Sessler) of the electret microphone (the kind in your headsets, PC monitors, cameras, telephones, DAPs, &c &c) at what used to be Bell Labs. The man should be better known than he is. The interesting thing is that he's listening to what appears to be a DAP, and he's wearing headphones. Are they electret headphones? Not on your life. They're Sennheisers, either the 600 or 650. But that's okay. He's a cool dude. Read the Sessler and West paper on electrets someday.
