After some time on Head-fi, we decided it's time to start our first review tour!

We were thinking which product to send, should it be the lovely and practical M1, great sounding M3s or M2s with probably best value? Easiest answer is, just send all three of them at once!

review tour.jpg

We know it might seems to be tricky to send three units at once. Especially on review tour, when person needs some time to get familiar with the product before he can make quality review. Luckily our players share most of the features, they have identical UI, so once you get to know one, it's like you know them all.
Also we decided that we will only ask for one review from each participant of the tour. Simply choose the one player you like the most, the one that has fewer reviews or the one that has your favorite color. Of course comparisons and more reviews will be appreciated!

How to apply?

Post reply in this thread with following information:
  • Your location - Country and city
  • List of other portable music players you own
  • Links to your previous reviews, either the ones posted on head-fi, on local forums, on blogs, dedicated websites, etc.
You can start applying right now and for now we are not setting up any deadline. We will start choosing reviewers for the tour in upcoming days.

We would like to send the units on their way in first week of december.

Details of review tour

  • We expect to have multiple review kits, one for USA, one for European union and then we will see if we can put together some for SEA. Australia or maybe even Russia/rest of Europe.
  • Shanling will cover shipping to the first reviewer and any customs, taxes or import duties that may be charged by local authorities
  • Reviewer can keep tour kit for 10 days before shipping to next reviewer
  • All shipping must be done by registered post requiring signature, players must be packed in original boxes
  • Never ship to PO boxes - only home or work addresses. It is important to collect complete info including a phone number before shipping so that we have a way to track and contact the participant just in case
  • When you receive unit, please immediately post in this thread and state the condition of tour kit. Also PM next reviewer to acquire his details for next shipment or local pickup. If the next participant doesn't respond, PM Shanling.
  • After shipping tour kit, always send tracking number in PM to next reviewer and also to Shanling
  • Your review should be posted on dedicated product page at Head-fi, with link posted in this thread
  • Publishing review on any additional webpages is welcomed
  • Review should include photos of the players
  • Review should include disclaimer stating these units are provided as short term loaner for the purpose of the review

If you have any problem with players, any question, any problem with shipping or want to simple drop from tour, always PM Shanling

USA Tour

For USA tour, we will start on east coast and go from south to north. Then we will see if we will jump to TN and CA. First draft of list is following:

@reginalb South Carolina
@Howlin Fester North Carolina
@Army-Firedawg North Carolina
@darmanastartes Virginia
@kubig123 New York
@SilverEars Masssachusetts

@Wiljen Tennessee
@ray-dude California

An excellent idea! Some I have two of the three (M1/M3s) and borrowed the other (M2s), I will let others have the fun while writing up my reviews!

Best of luck to all!

Headfi: Zadok
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina

Current Headphones:
Stax SR 407
Audeze LCD3
Senn HD650
Vmoda M80

I have both tube and Solid state amps to compare and an Ipod nano for a DAP.

I haven't really tried portable gear much, but I have wanted to try these to change that. Also, I could compare to desktop gear easily. Likewise, I don't have any official reviews yet, but I can promise that I can write a thorough one for any of these products.

Hello, I'm also interesting trying out your devices as I'm always looking for great sounding potables.

I'm located in Boston, MA

Current portables I own are the AK240 and the Mojo. I have not written a review yet, but if given an opportunity try out your products, will surely provide a review. Thanks.
