Shanling M0 Pro - Ultra-Portable Hi-Fi Player, Now With Balanced Output!

Hi @Shanling

Is there any chance you could add in a future firmware the possibility to display/sort the folders browsing by "last added" in addition to the standard "A-Z" ?
Same option as the library browsing but for the folders browsing too.

Thanks.

Has anyone else seen an issue with the player just randomly shutting itself down while playing a song? No changes with anything, it's a brand new MicroSD card, and it just started doing this today. When I turn it back on and start playing the same song or a different song it will just stop after a little bit and look like it is shutting down like I held in the button, and it is just sitting on a table. This is with wired playback using the balanced adapter. I'm going to try it with both wired unbalanced and Bluetooth to see if it does the same thing. M0 Pro was just fully charged, so there should not be an issue with battery charge.

<<Update>> Same thing with my IEMs that worked perfectly before, still shutting down after approximately 1m. I checked and auto-shutdown was not checked, although auto-standby is. Only seems to happen when the screen is off. Tried factory resetting it which seems to have fixed the problem for now. @Shanling I’m not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but maybe it’s something to check in firmware since it seemed to be set to auto shutdown without showing it was set that way or me selecting it.

Not possible for folders.

Seems like you enabled in-vehicle mode, please keep it turned off. That's what caused the shut down after 1 minute.

Can you give us an idea of how long until the next firmware is released? Days, weeks, months?
Not a type of info we can share.

Hi to all,
I hope you are well?
Is there a way to delete a song or mp3 file in the player? Sometimes I listen to audio books and after listening I want to delete the file from the player. Is that possible with SHANLING M0 PRO? Thank you in advance for your respond.
Kind Regards, Elena

Yes, you can.

If you open folder browsing for example, find the file you want to delete and click on the three dots next to it, Delete is an option in there.

Hi everybody. I didn't find the answer online so I'll ask here before buying this little gem^^. I'm really interested by the m0 pro for the Bluetooth receiver capability (from phone to m0 pro through Bluetooth, and the my favorite headphone plug into jack).

First M0 has a noticeable latency with Bluetooth when looking at videos.

Is the M0 pro noticeable better on Bluetooth latency? (no perceived latency?)

Latency is the same.
If you want to use the device mainly as a Bluetooth receiver, you will be better off with a dedicated receiver like our Shanling UP5. Their Bluetooth chips will always work better than our combined system on portable players.

@Shanling
Thanks for the quick reply, very good. I order now the Shanling m0 Pro. I can't wait to get the shanling player. Hope it replaces my legendary discontinued Sandisk Sansa Clip Plus with Rockbox. The battery isn't as good anymore and replacing it isn't worth it I think. Thanks again for the info. Have a good time, Elena

I got it yesterday. Great little device. I just have one question. When using low gain, it sounds terrible with EE Odin. Can't listen to it. When switched to high gain, everything is fine. What could it be?

The EE Odin has a 3 Ohms impedance—less than many speakers! The ES9219C chip used in the M0 Pro has various programmable power modes, an internal charge pump, and overcurrent protections. Shanling may change these settings between low and high gain, balanced and unbalanced. With such low impedance load, it is possible that in low gain, you run into a protection, or a power mode that just doesn’t work with Odin. Did you try balanced vs. unbalanced low/high gain?

Didn't try it, I don't have a reducer and I don't even plan to buy one. Actually, I don't mind if it works without noise with high gain. I just found it interesting..
