I just had a Custom USB C cable made from http://www.ghentaudio.com/part/index.html

The sound is very good in DAC mode. They don't have it listed on the site but they can do USB C in any length and many different color sleeving for around $30 delivered to your door depending on the length you want. (and no I don't work for them just happy with this cable its the second one I have ordered from them.

  • Purely handmade craftwork, genuine material and solid substance
  • Cable: Teflon Silver-plated Star Quad OFC, Braided shield with exceptional RFI and EMI protection
  • Connector: Quality Gold-plated(3U thickness) USB plugs
  • Solder: Lead free, Rosin Core with 3% Silver, 0.5% Copper and Tin
  • Option Black color: If you want cable in black sleeve, please write "black color" in paypal detail

My M1's scroll wheel broke. How do I fix it?

Shame I really like this tiny dap's versatility.

So sorry to hear that :frowning2: Even thought you lost receipt, did you tried to reach out to the shop you bought the M1 from?

Has anyone tried a USB type C to coax cable to use with their Mojo?
I tried and did not work , sent shanling a message to see if this could be implemented.
Would appreciate any info on this
Thanks

Correct, it doesn't work. Shanling never claimed it would work, though. As far as I know, only Cayin had emailed this with the i5 and N3. Perhaps Shanling will enable it in the future...

In his description (several times in the i5 & N3 threads) of the "USB type C to coax cable", Andy Kong has mentioned that Cayin re-purposed a couple of non-USB data pins in the USB-C connector, to add the SPDIF signal output.
Since this is a non-standard implementation of the USB-C connector wiring, it would take a circuit board re-design for other manufacturers to provide the same SPDIF functionality on that connector.

Hoping to get some advice on what can be done to fix my M1, as like some other posters have described, my scroll wheel has also broken after not much use.

The wheel itself has actually detached from the body, and as you can see in the photo, there seems to be a plastic sleeve (which holds the wheel in place), that has split in several places. I assume this is from the pressure of the click component of the wheel? The strange part is I've used it no more than a dozen times, and it's never been dropped.

I'm not sure what unscrewing the screw shown will achieve, if anything. Can it be repaired? Happy to send it back to @Shanling if something can be done, as I really like the player and want to try and fix it.
