The Amazon app has been a little flaky since they added the spatial audio feature. Try playing a 24/192 local file with the music player and then starting Amazon Music. I have also noticed that the Amazon app will will report lower system capability until it actually plays a 24/192 file. This issue isn't specific to the M3X as I'm having similar issues on other DAPs also.

@Shanling is it possible to use the play/pause, next track and previous ttrack buttons with the screen off? Because currently with the screen off none of those buttons work, only volume wheel work.

Go into settings /general /key lock settings

Can choose which you want when screen off there

however i only see "DSD64" when using shanling app..

does the display reflect the bitrate? or just a universal display of DSD from shanling?

M3X can play DSD256 in Shanling Music app, it should be showing DSD64/128/256 in status bar as you play them.

Can you please send me PM with more details on what exact issue you are seeing with DSD files?

I would like to play music stored in my M3X via a HiFi receiver. It's a NAD C388, and I can put an add-on card (MDC BluOs 2i).
It works with Bluetooth (aptX) and there are 2 USB ports (for flash drives). The WiFi is for streaming only.
There is an app for browsing and playing the files stored on the storage devices.
Before buying this card, can anyone tell me if they think it will work with the M3X, and if the sound quality will be OK ?
The file I have attached is the data sheet for this product (PDF).

With this card, you should be able to connect them over Bluetooth without any issues.

You will be running at aptX, so there will be noticeable downgrade in quality(In our opinion*) compared to playing files from USB drive.

Apart from obvious (screen, overall size), there is huge difference in audio circuit. M3X run simple all-in-one chip, while sounding great, has its limitations. M6 has much more advanced circuit, with better performance, better measurements, more power.

It's on the Google Play Store which handles the license verification. It won't work if you side-load it.

But the M3X with its' lower power and efficient chip gets over twice the battery life, if that's important to you.

So I’ve had this issue for awhile where for some reason there’s a block of music folders I put on the sd card that don’t show up when scanning and when looking on my computer on the M3x. However, when the card is put on other daps those files are there and in the music apps (Hiby and uapp). It’s like missing 4K songs. I’ve reset the device but the same thing happens. Anyone have any clue what to do?
