good flac copies of DSD sources, really help with SD size, files are a fraction and SQ is fenomenal, almost identical, this is a good alternative to be able to pack the most on your SD cards.

When downconverting a hi res file; its a good idea to keep the resulting file at 24 bits. So for example you might want to go to 24 bits 44 khz or 48 khz depending on the sample rate of the source file (yes just divide the khz by 2 or 4). In my view the 24 bit piece is more critical. Also the iphone for example can handle ALAC files at 24 bits but nothing higher than 48 khz. So you can natively feed decent res files from an iphone to certain cars like recent BMW models that don't have Aux inputs.

We have Andromeda as our main testing IEMs in office. As each person is little bit different, I can't tell if you will hear any noise or not at all. I can only comment, that the quietest output is 3.5mm on low gain, worst is balanced on high gain, but even there the difference isn't anything significant.

Just verifying.....music apps like Amazon HD are not limited to 24 bit 48 khz like on most Android systems? The ad copy states that the outside apps can use the custom audio by Shanling and reach 192 khz. Of course that would be great. I am just a bit nervous after the poor follow up by Cayin on their N5II Android unit so would want everything here to fall into place. Please understand I tend to prefer Shanling, Well I did experience poor reliability with the M2 But since then I have had nothing but good results with Shanling (M1, M2S, M0) and hope this unit follows on this great track record.

Here is my M6, running Tidal Masters quality and outputting full 94kHz.
We have confirmation from our Japanese distributor that Amazon HD is also working without problem.

Our testing units and first users in Hong Kong seems to have no problems with library scans. But there might be some problematic files (unique formatting, metadata, corrupted files), that can be causing such problem. if you manage to find such file, please send it to us and we can adjust app for it.

I also have no problem with libary scan. That is working on the M6.
The only problem i had was one bootloop after trying to install some apps.
But with factory reset i was fixing the problem.
Now all my apps are running well

If you listening to music with the 3.5mm unbalanced connector, it will be empty in 1 long evening.

I'll hopefully be looking into a bigger battery mod at some point, if its physically possible. I get about 6 hours with neutron quality maxed out and on 90-100% volume, high-gain single ended playing flacs. So can't complain too much.

Just wondering how solid the wifi is on this unit. For context; I am having a very hard time getting consistent downloads on my Amazon Fire 8 while I have no problem with my iphone on most wifi networks. Since wifi is the only way to get tracks from Tidal, Amazon, etc. onto the device it does matter.
