Just wonder why brands like did loose a lot of value second hand, but something like 64 audio, less bad with a high end IEM from them.
At his pricing you don't buy only an iem, it's a whole lot more. It's a relation with the brand, more often than not you can reach the founders or meet them
at a CAN where you can also give feedback and listen to early models, etc You have reshell, send for maintenance, etc. but mostly recognition from the community
(an famous artists) on the quality of the whole track record. It's not putting drivers together then a fire and forget sell.

Maybe this model is great but how would you know? you can not listen to them anywhere and relying on previous products reviews...

No on that regard I inderstand, just ordering blind without options to auditing is insane, especially at this price range. Or any price range to be honest, beyond $ 99,00

Basically, this price, with 1800$, doesn't look as crazy as all others over 2000$ to 7000$ we have seen these 2 last years....
But, for sure, I wouldn't be as confident with Shanling (for IEMs), as I would be if Sony was thinking and decided one day that such type of complex and internally so busy hybrid IEM, was worth to be buil and was trying to sell an IER-Z1RM2 at more than 2K$.

So, without trying deeply such IEM, I think I will never buy from Shanling such expensive IEM even if some here or some youtubers may consider it very positively.

On my wishlist, I'm a sucker for isobaric iem.

Sorry to be as stickler for detail but that isn't an isobaric set up.

The sound tube is between the drivers so the drivers have to move towards each other or there will be no sound.

Iso = equal and baric = pressure so literally "equal pressure" so the volume between the drivers during the driver excursion is constant, that is the exact opposite of the set up shown on the picture above where the volume within the sound chamber area will reduce twice as fast as for a single drivers excursion.

Isobaric is loosely a push/pull situation and the above is push/push.

People are still sleeping on the Prestige LTD at $1300

I guess it's Thieaudio's fault for messing up the original Prestige release. But 1 DD, 4BA and 4 EST... And amazing sounding IMHOh. that would be the closer comparison to this than the Monarch MK3.

Will be interesting to see if those switches on the Shanling really add value

2DD, 6BA, 4EST drivers. Bass Boost. Looks an interesting iem but don’t remember a solid iem release from Shanling in the past. I will wait for reviews (reliable) for this one.
