About 4 days ago they changed the cable to make it a modular plug and took $100 off the price due needing less material to make the extra two pigtail adapters.
The 4.4mm to 4.4mm is in the picture is a way to add Palladium, Silver, Gold and Copper in a process to change any signal. So it’s like a filter that goes ahead of your regular 4.4 cable. Same cable as the Totem.

The pigtails are a way to use them (outside of the Totem) same as adapter to change to the tone of a 2.5mm to 4.4mm or 2.5mm to 3.5mm.
The old Totem was 2.5mm so to use it with a 3.5mm source you would need the adapter, same as a 4.4mm source.
The metallurgy gets you what appears at first as more volume. So I look at it that way, stuff simply sounds louder and clearer. It works with every IEM, every DAP regardless of tone and makes it better, it used to be with regular cables that to have success you need to match copper with brighter IEM, DAPs, silver to get more soundstage, goes with warmer stuff in the end. Here the Totem just gives a tone which has a different more segmented and separated soundstage, inside of that imaging is more realistic and well as better textured. Bass is also clearer, and better textured. I can go on but I won’t. It works better with BA response hence one of my favorites is the 10BA Noble Encore with the Totem and Sony WM 1Z. It is the best I’ve ever heard the Encore and 1Z together....and not by a little. You walk away thinking there is also an overall tone change, I can’t explain what it is.....but it’s something (a character) that goes to memory.
